Students will become productive with the use of a variety of input technologies including word processing and/or desktop publishing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software to create, edit, and publish industry appropriate software.
BCS-CA1-2. Students will use technology as a tool to increase productivity in completing a variety of input technologies to create, edit, and publish industry appropriate documents.
This demonstrates my knowledge of technology to increase productivity because:
1. The use of this technology is faster than writing and more efficent.
2. Using email would allow me to send this document to multiple people at one time (letter).
3. Using this technology would mean I would no longer have to stock up on paper, pens, etc.
The following is what I learned from this particular assignment:
I learned that using a computer to type a document is much more time efficent than traditionally writing with paper and pencil.
BCS-CA1-3. Students will use word processing and/or desktop publishing software through a variety of input technologies to create, edit, and publish industry appropriate documents.
This demonstrates my knowledge of using technology to increase productivity because:
1. This document shows a know how to correctly type a memo.
2. Ths example of my work shows I know the proper layout of a business memo.
3. This shows I could produce a business appropriate memo and distribute is to people within the company.
The following is what I learned from this particular assignment:
I learned how to create and type a memo using the corrrect format/layout.
BCS-CA1-4. Students will use spreadsheet software to create, edit, and publish industry appropriate files.
This demonstrates my knowledge of using technology to increase productivity because:
1. This documents shows I can use formulas to increase productivity.
2. This documents shows I can insert/type information into different forms using technology.
3. This documents show that I know how to create a chart.
The following is what I learned from this particular assignment: I learned how to calculate mathmatical questions faster using formulas.
BCS-CA1-5. Students will use database software to create, edit, and publish industry appropriate files.
This demonstrates my knowledge of using technology to increase productivity because:
1. This shows I can use formulas to increase speed of work.
2. This shows that I can use tools to create different variations of information and increase work effiency.
3. This shows I can correctly input information and do it quick and accuratly.
The following is what I learned from this particular assignment: I learned to input information and create tables/graphs.
BCS-CA1-6. Students will use presentation software to create, edit, and publish industry appropriate files.
This demonstrates my knowledge of using technology to increase productivity because:
1. This shows that I can use technology to present my ideas and designs.
2. This shows I can use technology to demonstrate certain plans to others.
3. This shows I can create tables and graphs to represent my results.
